Do you have a knack for fixing things or a desire to support a sustainable community? We’re looking for enthusiastic repairers and support team members to join our mission of saving items from ending up in landfills. If you’re keen to share your skills – whatever they may be – we’d love to welcome you to our team!
Our Repair Cafés thrive thanks to the generosity of handy volunteers who act as repair experts during our meetings. We are currently seeking individuals with expertise in areas such as:
- Clothing and textiles
- Electrical appliances
- Bicycles
- Furniture and wooden objects
- Computers and IT
- Clocks
- Jewellery
- Ceramics
- Tool sharpening
- Bookbinding
…and who enjoy sharing their abilities with their neighbours.
Beyond repair specialists, our Repair Cafés also need friendly hosts! In this role, you’d play a vital part by providing refreshments (coffee, tea, and cake!), assisting new visitors at the reception table, and acting as a point of contact between repair experts and visitors.
Lastly, we’re also looking for digitally savvy individuals to help us manage our social media presence our website. If you have a flair for keeping online platforms up-to-date and showcasing our initiative on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, we’d love to hear from you! Photography skjills welcome too!!
